Today was a day spent mostly in the apartment, as I have to rest my ankle. I did go to the ceramics studio to work, but I wasn't there very long since I have to wait for my piece to dry. I'm making my final Raku piece very simple, just a plate, because this one will be my naked Raku piece. I forgot to take a picture of it but basically, I'll paint the entire piece with white slip and when it reaches a certain hardness, I will rub a light bulb over the piece until it reaches a certain smoothness. I'll have to go back on Sunday to check up on it.
Sorry for the late entry but I was still so exhausted from the field trip that I went to bed at 6:30pm!
